Ranji Trophy 2023: Sarfaraz Khan responds to Australia test snub with another hundred in the season

Xtra Time Web Desk: Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan on Tuesday slammed yet another hundred in Ranji Trophy Group B game against Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. It was a perfect way to respond to the selectors for overlooking him in the Indian squad for the first two test matches against Australia starting next month in Nagpur.

Sarafarz hit 125 off 155 balls with the help of 16 fours and four sixes as Mumbai posted 293 all out.

The talented batter has been going through a purple patch, scoring runs at will in the domestic circuit. He has been scoring tons of runs for the last two seasons in Ranji Trophy. In the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy season, Sarfaraz scored 982 runs at an average of 122.75 with four centuries and two half-centuries. His highest score was 275. Meanwhile, the ongoing edition Sarfaraz has already amassed 431 runs with a Bradmanesque average of 107.75 and a strike-rate of 70.54. He smashed two centuries, and one half-century in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season so far.
