Baroda in their second innings was bowled out for 133 runs, thereby taking a lead of 154 runs. Bengal medium pacer Mukesh Kumar took 5 wickets for 45 runs. Baroda started Day 2 on 63/3 with overnight batsman AS Brambhatt batting on 7 runs and Kedar Devdhar not out on 34 runs. Mukesh Kumar struck for Bengal, getting rid of Kedar Devdhar.  The Baroda opener was caught by Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary. Devdhar managed to add just 4 runs to his overnight score. Baroda captain Irfan Pathan was soon wrapped up by Dinda, getting him caught by Sudip for a duck. PR Shah didn’t last long either as he was caught by Agniv Pan of the bowling of Dinda. Baroda was reduced to 71/6 inside the first hour. But a valuable 30 runs stand between Swapnil Singh and AS Brambhatt took Baroda past the 100 run mark. Swapnil was done in by a quicker one from Kuila as he edged it to Manoj at slips. Brambhatt held fort at the other end to notch up crucial partnerships with Sheth and Mangalorkar. Sheth was caught behind by Srevats of Kuila while Mangalorkar had his stumps uprooted by Mukesh. The last man to be dismissed was Brambhatt, who tried to go after the Bengal bowlers towards the end. He managed to score 30 runs before edging one to Sreevats to give Mukesh Kumar his five wickets in the innings. Baroda eventually was bowled out for 133 runs after 42 overs.
