Rahul Dravid will not travel with the Indian squad to Thiruvananthapuram from Kolkata for third ODI  | INDvsSL

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid will not travel with the squad to Thiruvananthapuram for third ODI. Instead, the 50-year-old will travel to hometown Bengaluru to seek doctors’ advice before joining the squad in Thiruvananthapuram. He will take an early morning flight from Kolkata to Bengaluru. The third ODI between India and Sri Lanka will be played on January 15.

Dravid had a health scare on Wednesday night as he felt unwell at the Team Hotel in Kolkata before the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens on Thursday. According to Cricket Association of Bengal appointed local manager of Indian team, Dravid suddenly started feeling unwell. A doctor was called immediately to treat him. Later it was known that he had some problems with blood pressure.

Dravid was at the Indian team dug-out during the second ODI after he felt much better in the morning. He has been advised medication by the doctors to control his blood pressure.

The former India captain celebrated his 50th birthday with the players at the ITC Royal Bengal hotel. Ishan Kishan was seen smashing cake on the face of Dravid. He enjoyed celebrating his birthday with the current generation cricketers. Almost all the players in the current team wished Dravid on his birthday.
