Internet Desk : Ace shuttler PV Sindhu, beat unseeded Kirsty Gilmour 21-15, 21-9 in the final of the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament in Penang on Sunday. The double World Championship bronze medalist beat her world number 20 opponent in just 32 minutes.
Sindhu got an early 5-2 lead and stretched it to 10-6. Gilmour managed to get the score to 18-14. But Sindhu, the first Indian woman to win a medal in singles at the World Championships wrapped up the first game 21-15 to bag her fifth Grand Prix Gold event win.
World number 9 Kidambi Srikanth was defeated by world number 51 Iskandar Zulkarnain in the semi finals on Saturday.
