But why? According to ESPN Cricinfo, the pitch could be ruined for some protestors in London, hence the cautious approach by the ICC.
The name of this protest is ‘Just Stop Whaling,’ with its main objective being to save the environment. Last Monday, these protestors halted traffic in front of the Oval. Subsequently, the police removed them before the arrival of the Australian team.
Moreover, just last week, during the ongoing England vs Ireland Test match at Lord’s, the England team bus was blocked by protestors. Additionally, they recently disrupted the World Snooker Championship and the English Premiership Rugby final.
