XtraTime Web Desk: A hat-trick from Jamie Vardy saw Leicester beat Manchester City 5-2 in Premier League at the Etihad stadium on Sunday. It was the first time Pep Guardiola conceded five goals in his 686th stint as a manager.

It was City who took the lead in the 4th minute through Rivad Mahrez half volley from 15 yards. But the visitors equalized from a penalty converted by Jamie Vardy in the 37th minute. Both sides went into the interval with the score line reading 1-1.

The Foxes took the lead in the 54th minute with a stunning flick by Vardy that went in past Ederson. Brendan Rodgers side made it 3-1 after they were awarded another penalty for a foul on Vardy by Eric Garcia inside the box. The England striker made no mistake from the spot to complete his hat-trick.

Sub Maddison made it 4-1 in the 77th minute with a screamer from 25 yards which curled into the top corner. City pulled one back in the 84th minute through a Nathan Ake’s header. Piling more miseries for the hosts, Youri Tielemans scored from their third penalty awarded in the 88th minute after Benjamin Mendy had fouled Maddison.

Leicester maintained a 100 percent record with the win while City needed to re-group after the humiliation.
