XtraTime Web Desk: The record run chase by Rajasthan Royals against Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) match on Sunday is undoubtedly one of the best T20 matches to have been witnessed in recent times. Steve Smith’s side successfully chased down a target of 224 runs with four wickets in hand and three balls to spare at the Sharjah Stadium. Sunday’s IPL fixture left the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly amazed as he rated the cash rich league as the best in the world.

The Board President took to twitter to express his feelings after watching the match. Ganguly tweeted, “What a game ..that’s why this is the best league in the world … amazing talent on display @bcci @IPL”

Rajasthan Royals successfully chased down a total of 224 to defeat KXIP by four wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday. The match saw some lusty hitting by the batsmen from both sides with as many as 29 sixes being hit. Rajasthan Royal’s Rahul Tewatia (53 off 31 balls) turned out to be the hero as he hit West Indian fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell for five sixes in the 18th over to change the complexion of the match. There were useful contributions from Sanju Samson 85(45) and Captain Steve Smith 50(27) as well. Earlier in the Kings XI Punjab innings, Mayank Agarwal scored a blazing hundred (106 off 50 balls). Mayank and KXIP Captain KL Rahul (69 off 54 balls) put on 183 runs for the first wicket, and the duo created the record for the highest opening partnership for KXIP in the IPL.
