XtraTime Web Desk: Chelsea won a five goal thriller against Crystal Palace in a Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night. The victory helped Frank Lampard’s side leapfrog Leicester City to third spot with 60 points. The Foxes is on 59 points following their 1-1 draw with Arsenal later in the day.


The Blues took a 2-0 lead inside the first 30 minutes through goals from Oliver Giroud (6’) and Christian Pulisic (27’). Palace reduced the margin in the 34th minute after a powerful strike from Wilfried Zaha found the back of the net. Chelsea extended the lead through substitute Tammy Abraham in the 71st minute. Christian Benteke again reduced the margin for the hosts a minute later to see the score 2-3 in favour of Chelsea.


In another Premier League clash Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw against Leicester City at the Emirates stadium. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Gunners the lead in the 21st minute. Leicester equalized through their talisman Jamie Vardy in the 84th minute.

Arsenal is now seventh in the table with 50 points.
