Premier League: Chelsea thrash Crystal Palace 4-0, Man City held 1-1 by Leeds United

XtraTime Web Desk: Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola were reunited in the Premier League on Saturday at Elland Road as Manchester City and Leeds played out an entertaining 1-1 draw. Raheem Sterling gave the lead for the visitors while Leeds fought back and leveled the score when Rodrigo pounced on a mistake by Ederson in the 59th minute.

In another Premier League encounter on Saturday, Chelsea comprehensively outplayed Crystal Palace 4-0 at Stamford Bridge. Ben Chilwell had a memorable debut for the Blues, scoring in his first match while Kurt Zouma and Jorginho (two penalties) were also on the scoresheet.

Chelsea struggled to break down Palace’s low block in the first half, despite having the ball possession, but got their breakthrough just after the break as Chilwell slammed home in the 50th minute of the match from eight yards.

Chilwell was involved in the second as his cross from the left was brilliantly headed home by Kurt Zouma in the 66th minute, before Jorginho slotted two penalties (78’ and 82’) after Tammy Abraham was brought down by Tyrick Mitchell and Mamadou Sakho had tripped Kai Havertz. The result means Chelsea bounced following disappointing results against Liverpool, West Brom and Tottenham.
