Premier League: Chelsea register 3-0 win against Watford, United thrash Bournemouth 5-2

XtraTime Web Desk: Chelsea was back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-0 victory over Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Frank Lampard’s side suffered a slight hiccup, losing 2-3 to West Ham mid week in their last fixture. The win helped Franck Lampard’s side leapfrog Manchester United back into fourth place with 57 points from 33 matches. United too registered a comprehensive 5-2 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford. The result saw United stay on fifth spot with 55 points.
Olivier Giroud marked his return to the side with the opener in the 28th minute, finding the bottom corner with a left-foot shot. Willian doubled the lead for the Blues from penalty just two minutes before the break. The home side was awarded a spot kick after Christian Pulisic was fouled by Etienne Capoue.
Ross Barkley found the back of the net as he converted a perfect cross from Cesar Azpilicueta in the injury time to seal a thumping 3-0 win for his side.

Manchester United too recorded a thumping 5-2 win over Bournemouth at home. Mason Greenwood (29', 54'), Marcus Rashford (35'penalty), Anthony Martial (45+2') and Bruno Fernandes (59')were on the score sheet for the Red Devils. J Stanislas (15’) and J King (49’ penalty) reduced the margin for Bournemouth. The victory saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side extend their unbeaten run to 16 matches across all competitons.
In another match Leicester got the better of Crystal Palace at home, winning 3-0. The win helped them stay on 3rd spot with 58 points. Jamie Vardy scored twice (77’ and 90’+4’) to achieve a personal milestone of scoring 100 goals in the Premier League. Kelechi Iheanacho scored the opener for the Foxes at The King Power Stadium.
