With the triumph, Chelsea reached 49 points in the isolated lead of the English Premier League. Stoke, on the other hand, is in bad shape, in 14th place. Chelsea started the game by pressing Stoke, cornering the opponent in their field. The team put a lot of action on their front men, especially Hazard and Diego Costa. Willian was the starter, in place of Pedro, but was off for the first 45 minutes. But the situation would change after the break. On the other hand, Stoke expected Chelsea, but attacked in aerial ball throws, mainly with Crouch and Shawcross. On some occasions, it took danger to the goal of Courtois. Chelsea had the ball and was accumulating some lost chances. Grant goalkeeper was becoming one of the main men of the match, mainly in defenses in shots of Diego Costa and Hazard. Following the Belgian's bid, Fàbregas cornered and Cahill went higher than Stoke's defender to open the scoring. At the beginning of the second stage, Stoke returned to trigger their source point: the aerial ball. At Adam's cross, Crouch straightened and Martins Indi kicked in to equalize. But Chelsea showed why it is the isolated leader. In a beautiful move, Moses crossed, Hazard straightened and Willian hit left-handed to put the Londoners ahead. The game was electrifying. Slipping past Chelsea and after Kanté's sting, Bojan let Diouf cross as Crouch equalized. It was the first goal of an Englishman in more than a year for Stoke in Premier League matches. The Stoke crowd did not have time to celebrate. Soon after, Fàbregas stole the ball and touched for Willian to hit a nice shot from Grant's angle to make Chelsea's third. But the gunner was missing. After a corner, Diego Costa fought with the defenders, took out Martins Indi and shot Grant to close the scoring. It was the 14th goal of the striker in the Premier League.
