Internet Desk: Kashmiri off-spinner Parvez Rasool has made his debut for the Indian cricket team on Thursday. He is the first cricketer from Kashmir to do so, but his debut in blue jersey didn’t end up as happy as he would have thought. Not only Virat’s men faced a crushing defeat in the match but the debutant off-spinner found himself in a controversy as he was not singing during the national anthem and chewing a gum before the match against England.

Social media was very quick to pinpoint his act and labeled it a disrespect towards the national anthem. Some of them even twitted to BCCI to take strong action against the off-spinner for this act.

A few people were quick to remind Rasool that if he is representing India, he should pay some respect towards the country as well.

However,India lost the match by 7 wickets and England took  1-0 lead in the three match T-20 Internationals. Parvez Rasool finished with the figures of 32 for 1 from his 4 overs quota. It is yet not sure whether BCCI will ignore this matter or take an action against the Kashmiri off-spinner.
