Parshavi, Shweta stars as India U19 girls beat NZ U19 by 8 wickets to enter the final | U19T20WorldCup

Xtra Time Web Desk: India U19 cricket team defeated New Zealand U19 team by 8 wickets to enter the final of the U19 T20 World Cup in South Africa on Friday. All-rounder Parshavi Chopra and batter Shweta Sehrawat were the stars for India U19 team in the first semi-final played at JB Marks Oval in Potchesftroom. Parshavi took three wickets to restrict New Zealand U19 to only 107/9 in 20 overs.

Chasing 108 runs to win, Shweta Sehrawat slammed 61 off 45 balls to take India U19 home with 5.4 overs to spare.

Earlier, Indian U19 captain Shafali Verma won the toss and opted to bowl against New Zealand U19 women in the semi-final of the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

India U19 girls will take on the winner of Australia and England in the second semi-final.
