England didn’t declare and continued batting but Indian bowlers quickly bowled them out for a massive 578 runs. Ravi Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets each as Nadeem and Ishant took 2 each.

Rohit and Gill came to open but Rohit couldn’t pose any threat as he was dismissed at 6 by Jofra Archer. His opening partner Gill looked good but unfortunately he was also dismissed by Archer at 33.

Indian captain Virat Kohli failed to create any danger and was dismissed at 11 by Dom Bess. Ajinkya Rahane also got dismissed cheaply at 1. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant then created a solid partnership that helped India to gain some momentum.

They set up a 100+ run partnership when Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed in an unfortunate fashion. Pujara tried to pull Dom Bess through short leg but it hit the fielder in the shoulder and was a simple catch for Rory Burns. He got dismissed at 73 and Washington Sundar came to crease. Soon, Dom Boss got his fourth wicket in form of Rishabh Pant who got dismissed at 91.

Washington Sundar and Ravi Ashwin are batting when the game ended at day 3. Sundar is batting at 33 and Ashwin is batting at 8. India are 257 for 6 and are still 321 runs behind England. England are clearly ahead and has a strong grip into the match. India needs a good partnership to comeback into the match but they need to do a lot to put England into any kind of pressure.
