XtraTime Web Desk – Manvir Singh on Saturday created quite a buzz on social media when he tweeted in favour of the farmers just few hours ahead of ATK Mohun Bagan’s match against Odisha FC.
Legendary cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble and many current Indian stars expressed their views that wasn’t similar to Manvir’s. He supported the farmers and went on to say that if there’s no farmer in the country, then there will be no food.
The day was an happening one for the Punjabi lad. He went on to score a brace for Mariners that helped ATK Mohun Bagan beat Odisha FC comfortably by 4-1. Manvir is getting a lot of appreciation not only because of the brace but that he stood for the farmers when most of the sports personalities didn’t. His teammate Micheal Soosairaj also expressed his gratitude.
Not only just from Mariners, Manvir is being appreciated by the rival SC East Bengal fans as well.
