The left arm pacer has been undergoing rehab in London after he suffered a knee injury ahead of Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai. As per reports, Shaheen in a discussion with PCB Chairman Ramiz Raza has declared that he is fully fit and ready to play in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
“He (Shaheen Shah Afridi) has never felt this fit before,” Ramiz Raza said in an interview to Dawn News.
He added, “The progress is very good. His doctor has sent me videos of him. He feels he will play against India and will be battle ready.”
Shaheen recovering in time for the T20 World Cup will be a massive boost for Pakistan ahead of the marquee clash against India at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
