India concluded its Commonwealth Games campaign with one of the finest all-round performances in its history. The contingent finished fourth in the overall medals table with a total of 39 medals. Record-breaking performances in boxing, remarkable success in judo, an unprecedented display by the para-athletes, and multiple medals in athletics highlighted India's outstanding campaign.
The Indian boxers emerged as the biggest stars of the Games. The team recorded its best-ever performance in Commonwealth Games boxing, finishing at the top of the boxing medals table with seven gold medals and three silver medals.
India also created history in judo by producing its best-ever performance, winning four medals. The country's para contingent also made history by securing seven medals, while Lovir Singh etched his name into the record books with a memorable performance in athletics.
Although Lisa Das's performance towards the end of the Games brought some disappointment, it could not overshadow India's historic campaign. The Indian contingent signed off with an impressive 39 medals, comprising 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze medals, marking one of the nation's most successful outings at the Commonwealth Games.
