It was a historic day for India at the Commonwealth Games, with medal-winning performances, record-breaking achievements, and a clean sweep of the boxing semifinals combining to make it a memorable occasion.

Gulveer Singh became the first Indian in Commonwealth Games history to win a medal in the men's 5,000 metres, claiming the bronze medal. Just a few days earlier, he had won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres, adding another milestone to his impressive campaign.

India also enjoyed unprecedented success in boxing, finishing with a total of 10 medals—seven gold and three silver—the country's best-ever boxing performance at the Commonwealth Games.

While Narendra secured a silver medal, Ankush Panghal delivered India's seventh boxing gold. The other gold medal winners were Sachin Saibach, Jaishmin Lamboria, Preeti Pawar, Sakshi Choudhary, Arundhati Choudhary, and Priya Ganghas. Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain and Yadumani Singh earned silver medals.

India dominated the men's F15 shot put event, winning both the gold and silver medals. Somn Rana clinched gold, while Shubham Jewel took silver. In the men's triple jump, Praveen Chithravel won silver, and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran secured bronze. Judoka Unnati Sharma also added a bronze medal to India's tally.

So far, India has won a total of 39 medals at the Commonwealth Games, including 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
