Mumbai City FC seals a historic 1-0 victory over Air Force Club; bows out of AFC Champions League in style

Xtra Time Web Desk : Mumbai City FC on Tuesday sealed a 1-0 win over Iraqi champions and Asian heavyweights Air Force Club and bowed out of the AFC Champions League 2022 in a sensational manner.

The Islanders earlier in the campaign defeated the same opponents at the same stage by a margin of 2-1 and created history to become the first ever Indian club to clinch a victory in the AFC Champions League.

This time too, the former Indian Super League champions defeated Air Force club, courtesy of a solitary goal in the 32nd minute of the match by Diego to do the double over the former AFC Cup Champions.

Although Mumbai ended their campaign, finishing 2nd in the group with 7 points, but the Indian club did so by keeping their heads held high.
