MS Dhoni sports a jersey with this symbol that sparked controversy during World Cup

XtraTime Web Desk: Former India captain MS Dhoni was recently spotted playing tennis with a jersey having a ‘Balidan’ symbol or logo of the army’s parachute regiment’s special force. It is the same symbol that sparked a controversy during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England, when he was seen having this symbol on his wicket-keeping gloves during the South Africa match in Southampton. The matter was blown out of portion, forcing Dhoni to wear a pair of wicket-keeping gloves without the logo. The wicket-keeper batsman is currently enjoying his time away from cricket in his hometown.

The two time World Cup winning captain will be participating in the Tennis tournament at JSCA stadium this year again. Last year he (Dhoni) had won the JSCA Country Cricket Club Tennis Championship in Ranchi. He went on to win the men’s doubles with local tennis player Sumit Kumar and won the final 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets. Dhoni will come out to defend his title this year.

The 38-year-old has shown no sign of a return to international cricket. Initially, he announced a two-month sabbatical, but it kept on stretching. Now, the reports say he will return in 2020 although selectors have expressed their opinion clearly. They aren’t seeing him a part of Team India’s future.
