Kolkata: Mohun Bagan officials trying to compensate the absence of Debjit Majumder with the best possible way, as the Green & Maroon brigade have completed the signing of their I-League winning goalkeeper Shilton Paul on a fresh contract. Shilton’s inclusion will no doubt bolster their goalkeeping department. The star goalkeeper though has signed for his beloved club for one more season.
On the flip side, East Bengal is in advanced talks with former national team goalkeeper Sanjiban Ghosh.
It is learned that the talented goalkeeper has already visited the club twice to meet with the officials and if things go accordingly, the club will complete the signing with him on a two years’ contract. Meanwhile the club is chasing Goan forward Victorino Fernandes.
