Kolkata: Exciting news for the Mohun Bagan fans as their favourite club officially announced their new no.10 for the forthcoming season and also officially announced Sony Norde has signed the contract to play in favour of Mohun Bagan Football Team for the upcoming 2017-18 football season. The player will join the team from 1st October 2017.
Sony Norde had requested for a change in his Jersey Number from no 16 to no 10. The officials thus have decided to keep his request and this year the Haitian talisman will don the Jersey No 10.
Earlier, it used to be Japanese midfielder Katsumi Yusa, who used to wear the famous no.10 jersey. But the Japanese midfielder has already joined East Bengal and thus the jersey number became vacant for a while. No doubt, with the way Norde has performed in the last few seasons, he certainly deserves the iconic number on his back.
