Mohun Bagan focused ahead of facing spirited Arrows

XtraTime Web Desk: Mohun Bagan is desperate to taste the first win of the I-League season when they will take on a spirited Indian Arrows tomorrow at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. The India Colts bounced back from their 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Chennai City FC as they edged past Shillong Lajong 1-0.

The win would have certainly boosted the confidence of Arrows as they gear up to face the mighty Mariners. Floyd Pinto has focussed a lot on organization and ensuring that the shape of the team doesn’t get affected despite the barrage of attacks thrown at them.

On the flip side, Mohun Bagan would be disappointed with the way they dropped points against Aizawl FC despite taking a lead through Sony Norde.

On the flip side, Rahul K.P. has been the most impressive player so far this season for the Arrows. His performances have been consistent and his versatility is a big plus for any team. Narender Gahlot, who was injured and sidelined for the most part last season, too has put in a commendable shift against Lajong.

It will be interesting to see how Pinto lines up his team against the experienced Bagan outfit. Jeakson Singh would hope to feature in the matchday squad after being left out against Lajong.

It will be very interesting to see how Mohun Bagan  gaffer Shankar Lal Chakraborty uses Egyptian playmaker Omar Elhusseiny with Sony Norde assured of at least half an hour in the second half.
