Mohammedan Sporting official Sultan Ahmed is no more
Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting President and Trinamool Congress MP Sultan Ahmed died today in Kolkata after suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest. The Mohammedan Sporting official was immediately rushed to Kolkata's Belle Vue Clinic hospital, where he passed away at around 11:30am.West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her shock and grief on tweeter.
The veteran official was the pillar of the Mohammedan Sporting club for ages. Despite the financial turmoil, Sultan, the 64 years old stood like a solution for every problem to rescue Mohammedan Sporting from every trouble.His body was taken to his place from the hospital and Mohammedan Sporting coach Biswajit Bhattacharya, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former coach Mridul Banerjee and the other dignitaries came to show their last respect. Mohammedan Sporting will play against Customs tomorrow in the Calcutta Football League and there would be two minutes of silence in the memory of Sultan Ahmed before the kick off.The Kolkata football fraternity mourns the deepest condolences for Mr Sultan Ahmed.
