Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a huge relief for the Indian team management, fast bowler Mohammed Shami has tested negative for Covid-19. The pacer shared the good news on his Instagram story on Wednesday. Although he is out of isolation, but he won’t be featuring in the T20I series against South Africa. Shami will now appear for a mandatory cardiovascular test this week. 

Despite testing negative, he is still not considered 100% fit. Only when he passes the cardiovascular test, he will be eligible for selection again.

Meanwhile, the BCCI can make changes to the T20 World Cup squad irrespective of injury by October 9. They will have another six days to make last-minute changes until October 15 if ICC grants permission.
