Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India fast bowler Mohammed Shami recently lost a court battle with estranged wife Hasin Jahan. Shami has been ordered by Alipore Court to pay a monthly alimony of INR 50,000 to Hasin Jahan. The Indian cricketer has already been paying INR 80,000 as a monthly alimony but Jahan moved court demanding higher amount.

In 2018, Jahan filed a case seeking a monthly alimony of Rs 10 lakh, which included Rs 7 lakh for personal expenses and Rs 3 lakh for the maintenance of their daughter.

Alipore court judge Anindita Ganguly on Monday (January 23,2023) passed an order which states that Shami will have to pay a further amount of INR 50,000 monthly as alimony. The Team India pacer will now have to pay INR I,30,000 monthy as alimony for his daughter’s maintenance.

The whole dispute between Shami and Hasin started when the later filed an official complaint at Jadavpur Police station accusing Shami of adultery and domestic abuse. Following the complaint, Shami was slapped with non-bailable charges of domestic abuse

Hasin claimed that Shami and his family tortured her whenever they went to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh. Jahan also claimed that Shami was threatening her over phone using different phone numbers.

However, Shami always denied Jahan’s claims and said that the allegations were false and baseless. It was a conspiracy to defame him.
