XtraTime Web Desk - The batting coach of India, Vikram Rathour made it clear that if Bumrah is fit enough to start on Friday, he'll be picked for the fourth test at Gabba.

Speaking about that to press, Rathour said, “Medical team working with Bumrah, we have to see tomorrow morning whether he is fit enough to play the fourth test or not. If he can play, he will play, if he cannot, then he won't”. He added, “The injuries are still being monitored. Our medical staff is looking into it”.

In the last three tests, India announced their squad a day before the match. They however won't be doing this time. “It'll be tomorrow morning that you will know which eleven takes the place”, Rathour said.

Indian players are getting injured more than ever in the recent times. The entire first team pacers are injured at the moment. Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav has already been ruled out and now Jasprit Bumrah is in doubt. Rathour said, “Basically, I think the toughness comes from the preparation, we believe in our players, every member of our team, believes in our ability. One innings cannot let the doubts creep in, the team has shown a lot of character and the reason for that is the hardwork they have been putting in for a long time”.

“As far as I'm concerned, we have the ability, with or without injuries, the eleven that will play would be the best eleven India could put on the ground, all of them deserve to be there. If they play to their potential, I cannot see any reason, why we cannot do well”, he added.

Other than injuries, India are also facing off the field problems. They are not happy with the services the hotel is providing but Vikram Rathour doesn't seem to care much. “We are playing Australia in Australia, so the motivation is there. You don't need housekeeping to motivate yourself”.

Other than all these problems, Indian team has one more. Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw's form. They have been poor in the series and are under the scanner. Rathour however said that technique isn't everything in International Cricket. “Anything can be rectified. Also depends on how much importance we give to technique in international cricket. Technique is important, but it's about your decision making, your character, it's about all these things combined. The boys are committed, everyone will have some good and bad tours. The boys are doing hardwork and they'll perform better”.

It'll also be interesting to see whether Ravi Ashwin is fit enough to feature in the playing XI as well. The match starts on Friday and there's a lot of confusion regarding India's playing XI. Now, only a matter of time to see which players India play against Australia at Gabba cause from Vikram Rathour's press conference, it's not very clear.
