Md Siraj all set to play for the first time in a test match in front of home fans
Xtra Time Web Desk: It will be a special moment for Team India speedster Mohammed Siraj when he steps into the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium for the first test against England as it will mark his maiden test match on home ground. His journey, from playing tennis ball cricket in his early days to becoming a cornerstone of India's fast-bowling attack, is nothing short of inspiring.
Siraj's cricketing roots trace back to the grounds around Charminar, where he honed his skills in tennis ball cricket. It was during these formative years that he caught the eye of Mahmood Ahmed, his first coach, while participating in tennis ball tournaments organized by the Charminar Cricket Club affiliated with the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).

Mohammed Mahboob Ahmed, who is also the childhood coach of Siraj played a pivotal role in his transition from tennis ball to leather ball competitions which marked as a turning point in Siraj's journey.
A crucial turning point occurred when former India bowling coach Bharat Arun, through a fortuitous encounter, paved the way for Siraj to join the Hyderabad senior team. Siraj's relentless hard work and dedication have propelled him from the tennis ball cricket grounds near Charminar to the international stage, where he now stands as a testament to determination and skill.
