XtraTime Web Desk – Not just a win, but a massive one for team India against England at Chepauk. With Axar’s fifer in the second innings, England were all out for 164 runs and thus registering a mammoth win of 317 runs.
Except their captain Joe Root and Daniel Lawrence, no one could really pose any threat. Ashwin dismissed Laurence for 26 and later Axar picked up Root’s wicket when he was batting at 33.
After returning back to the side, Kuldeep Yadav picked up 2 wickets. He picked up Foakes and of Moeen Ali’s wicket who were on a roll towards the closing end. He scored 43 runs from 18 balls but Kuldeep tricked him to get his wicket.
The series is now level at 1-1. Next up its the day and night test at Motera and India needs to win one at least and can’t lose any more. With the form India is right now, it’ll be tough for England to make a strong comeback, but with the day and night test coming up, they got a good chance.
