Xtra Time Web Desk: Massimiliano Allegri will be back at his former club Juventus. The 53 year old Allegri is expected to replace Andrea Pirlo. The deal as per reports will be worth €9m a year, only two years after he left Turin. Allegri has been without any club since May 2019 when he left Juventus to be replaced by Maurizio Sarri.

Pirlo has not been totally unsuccessful in his first role as manager as he guided Juventus to the Champions League last season. The former Juve player also won the Coppa Italia but failed to win the Serie E for a record 10th time consecutively. Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan won the title.

Allegri initially joined Juventus in 2014, leading the club to four straight league and cup doubles before a fifth successive Serie A win in his final season in charge in 2019. He also led the club to two Champions League finals, losing to Barcelona and Real Madrid.
