Internet Desk: In another twist of events the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has assured foolproof security to the Pakistan cricket team during the ICC World twenty20 tournament. Earlier on Thursday  the Interior minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan categorically ruled out sending the team to India until assurances come from high-ups in India.

“Until and unless clear guarantee on security comes from Indian government, unfortunately we are not in a position to decide sending the team,” Khan told media.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday left the decision to the government although it said the players were ready to fly any time.

Khan said the government and every Pakistani want to see the former champions play in India.

On Wednesday, the ICC moved the marquee clash between India and Pakistan from Dharamsala to Kolkata. The decision came in the wake of a request from the Pakistan Cricket Board that was concerned with security in Dharamsala following protests by former Army personnel.

In a letter to CAB president Sourav Ganguly , the West Bengal chief minister has asked him to inform the BCCI and the ICC that the state government will provide full security to the Pakistan team for the match at Eden Gardens.

According to the sources the Government will lay out a green carpet for the Pakistani players in Kolkata.
