Xtra Time Web Desk: What was Virat Kohli trying to do with Mathew Wade after he was controversially given out during the IPL game between Gujarat Titans and RCB at Wankhede stadium? The former RCB captain was trying to console Wade as he started walking back to the pavilion.
Wade walked off visibly angry after his review was turned down by the third umpire. Glenn Maxwell, who is Wade’s Australian teammate Glenn Maxwell, bowled a length ball angled in towards the stumps – Wade tried to sweep it but he was hit on the pads and RCB appealed and Wade was ruled out.
However, Matthew Wade decided to review the decision and the DRS showed there was no bat involve. The ball-tracker indicated that the ball would have hit middle and leg. As Wade walked back, upset with the decision, Virat Kohli put an arm around the GT batter and consoled him.
Wade showed his anger minutes back after entering the dressing room at Wankhede. He was seen smashing his bat and throwing his helmet in frustration.
