Xtra Time Web Desk: The ongoing IPL 2022 season has seen some outstanding performances from several uncapped players while at the same time there has been disappointing show from big stars. Based on their performances in the ongoing IPL 2022 season, Xtra Time tries to select a FLOP XI. The team will have two openers, four middle order batters, one all-rounder, two spinners and two pacers. Among the eleven players picked there will be four overseas cricketers.

Openers:

Mayank Agarwal (PBKS) – The Punjab Kings captain has had a disappointing season scoring only 195 runs so far from 12 matches at an average of only 17.73. The poor form with the bat saw him demoting himself down the order mid-way in the season. Mayank has scored only one fifty with a highest score of 52 runs.

Rohit Sharma (MI) – Mumbai Indians dismal show in the ongoing season is reflected on their captain’s performance. Rohit has scored only 266 runs from 13 games at an average of 20.46 His highest score in the season is 48.

Middle Order:

Virat Kohli (RCB) – Like Rohit, Virat too had a bad season in IPL 2022. The highest scorer in IPL history has failed to get going, as she scored only 236 runs so far from 13 games at an average of 19.67. Kohli has scored only one fifty with a top score of 58*.

Glenn Maxwell (RCB) – The RCB batter is one of the four overseas cricketers in the team. Maxwell has scored 228 runs so far from 10 games at an average of 25.33. His highest score in IPL 2022 is 55.

All-rounders:

Venkatesh Iyer (KKR) – He has failed to repeat his performance of last season. Ravindra Jadeja (CSK) – Perhaps the biggest disappointment along with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The pressure of captaincy affected his batting due to which he had to relinquish the post. The left hander has picked 5 wickets from 10 matches at an average of 49.60. His best figures is 39/3.

Pacers:

Pat Cummins (KKR) – The Australian test captain started the season with a bang scoring the second fastest fifty in IPL. But as far his bowling was concerned, Cummins has been a huge let down for KKR. Mohammed Siraj (RCB) – The Indian pacer has not had a superb season in IPL 2022. Siraj claimed only 8 wickets from 13 games at an average of 55.25. He went for lot of runs as his economy rate is 9.82.
