Litton Das named captain of Bangladesh for ODI series against India | BANvIND

Xtra Time Web Desk: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday named Litton Das as the captain of Bangladesh for the upcoming three-match ODI series at home against India which begins on Sunday (December 4).

The 28-year-old Litton has been handed over the responsibility because regular captain Tamim Iqbal was ruled out of the ODI series due to a groin injury while training on Wednesday. Litton, who was the vice-captain of ODI side has been promoted as captain. He will be 15th ODI captain for Bangladesh.

Litton has been the most consistent batter for Bangladesh this year. He has played 57 ODIs till now and scored 1835 runs with 5 centuries and 7 half-centuries.

The three match ODI series will begin on Sunday at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur. Both sides will play the second ODI at the same venue on December 07. The third and final ODI of the series will be held on December 10 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
