Xtra Time Web Desk: Musheer Khan continued his stellar form on the second day of the Duleep Trophy, building on the attention he garnered on the opening day. He notched up his second 150+ score in first-class cricket, ending his marathon innings at 181 runs off 373 deliveries shortly after lunch. In doing so, Musheer surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's record in the Duleep Trophy.

Musheer's 181 is now the third-highest individual score by a teenager on Duleep Trophy debut. Previously, Sachin held the third spot with his 159-run knock for West Zone against East Zone in Guwahati back in January 1991. This achievement is significant for Musheer, who is just 19 years old. However, he fell short of surpassing Yash Dhull and Baba Aparajith, who hold the top spots. Aparajith scored 212, the only double-century by a teenager on Duleep Trophy debut, while Dhull scored 193 in his first match.

Musheer is quickly making a name for himself, with three centuries and a half-century in just seven matches, his highest score being 203 runs. He has amassed 710 runs in 11 innings at an impressive average of 64.54, putting him on the radar of selectors as India's Test season approaches, starting on September 19.

In the match, India B, thanks to Musheer's innings, recovered from a precarious 94/7 to post 321 runs in their first innings, with Navdeep Saini also contributing a half-century. The spotlight now shifts to India A batters, who will look to match or surpass India B's total in their first innings.
