Xtra Time Web Desk: Cricket world has witnessed fan breaching security to touch players multiple times. One such incident has grabbed the attention once again.
The incident took place when a fan breached the ground security to meet star India batter Virat Kohli and touch his feet as he made his return to Ranji Trophy after 12 years during the Delhi vs Railways game at Arun Jaitely Stadium.

A large crowd gathered at the stadium to witness their favourite playing domestic years after. As the former India captain took the field after Delhi captain Ayush Badoni opted to bowl first, the entire stadium was full of ‘Kohli! Kohli!’ chants.
One of those excited fans ran to the pitch during the break between the overs. He came running towards Kohli and bowed down to touch his feet and security personnel came rushing behind him to take him away. As a result, the game was halted for a few minutes due to the interruption before finally resuming again.

When the crowd began gathering outside the Arun Jaitely Stadium as early as 4 am, as a long 2km line full of people could be seen at the entry gates. Initially, only three gates were scheduled to be opened for the fans. However, seeing a massive influx of crowd, the DDCA (Delhi & District Cricket Association) decided to open an additional gate as well.
Initially, it was difficult for the security people to handle large number of people with having such deep emotions for the game and the player. The commotion even led to a couple of fans three as reported falling near the entry gate and getting injured. A police bike was also damaged. Later security people took control of the situation.
