The 34-year-old took to social media on Thursday to share the news, just three days after going unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

In his emotional retirement note, Kaul expressed gratitude to his family, fans, teammates, and coaches, reflecting on the journey that began on the cricket fields of Punjab. “When I was a child playing cricket in the fields in Punjab, I had one dream—to represent my country. In 2018, by God’s grace, I received my India Cap Number 75 in the T20I team and Cap Number 221 in the ODI team,” he wrote.
Siddarth was a reliable bowler in the IPL, making his debut with the Delhi Daredevils in 2013. He later shone for Sunrisers Hyderabad, claiming 16 wickets in 2017 and finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 21 wickets in 2018. After joining Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021, Kaul found limited opportunities and eventually went unsold in subsequent IPL auctions.
Thanking his IPL franchises and the Punjab Cricket Association for their support, Kaul noted, “I don’t know what the future holds, but I look back on this chapter with only fond memories.”
