Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India head coach Rahul Dravid made a surprise comeback in competitive cricket. Playing alongside his younger son, Anvay, for Vijaya Cricket Club in the KSCA Division III League match against Young Lions Club on February 22.

Taking retirement from professional cricket in 2012, Rahul has played a crucial role as the coach of Indian team and now is all set to join Rajasthan Royals as the head coach. He formed a short partnership of 17 runs with Anvay before getting dismissed for 10 by Young Lions bowler AR Ullas.

The Young Lions players were visibly left in awe having India legend with them. Both of Dravid’s sons, Samit and Anvay, actively participate in Karnataka’s age-group cricket, making the moment even more special.

Batting first, Anvay Dravid smashed a crucial knock of 58 off 60 balls, providing much-needed stability to Vijaya Cricket Club. Dravid aimed to accelerate the scoring, attempting a lofted shot towards long-off but mistimed it, leading to his dismissal.
