India's performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics was a blend of notable achievements and close calls. With a total of five bronze medals and one silver, the country fell short of surpassing its record medal tally from Tokyo 2020. Despite the high expectations, several athletes finished in fourth place, reflecting both their resilience and the challenges faced.

Key highlights include Neeraj Chopra, who added a silver in javelin throw to his Tokyo gold, becoming the first Indian to win two Olympic athletics medals. Shooter Manu Bhaker also shone brightly, winning bronze in the women's 10m air pistol and a mixed team event, marking her as the first Indian woman to secure two Olympic shooting medals in a single Games.
