In the semifinal, his battle was against a tough opponent. He lost in straight sets to the second seed, Viktor Axelsen, with scores of 22-20, 21-14. He fought hard in the first set for a long time. Although there was a loss of rhythm in the second set, he had started well in both sets.

However, even though he lost the match, he still has a chance to win the bronze. On Monday, Lakshya will compete for the bronze medal against Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia. India’s badminton star is already determined about it. He says, “I will forget the semifinal match. I will forget all the matches I played before this. Now, there is only one match in front of me, and that is the most important thing for me right now.”
