Xtra Time Web Desk: Pakistan pacers were right on the money as they bowled out India for 119 runs at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf were the pick of bowlers for Pakistan with three wickets each while Mohammad Amir picked two wickets. Rishabh Pant scored 42 runs but other Indian batters failed to play noticeable knocks after Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and opted to bowl first. India were in a good position of 81 for 3 after 10 overs but what followed was a batting collpase as the side scored 38 runs and lost 7 wickets in the next 9 overs.

In overcast conditions, Pakistan's pacers gave their team a brilliant start. In the second over, Naseem Shah dismissed Virat Kohli for just four to give Pakistan the first breakthrough.

Kohli failed to get going with the bat for the second game in a row in the tournament. The former India skipper was out for just 1 run off 5 balls in the first game against Ireland. He had the opportunity to bounce back in the ongoing game but failed to get going.

Kohli was facing severe criticism from several quarters for not playing in the warm-up game against Bangladesh before the start of the tournament and his twin failures will invite more criticism for him.

Soon after Kohli's departure, Rohit Sharma departed as well. The India skipper, who had scored a match-winning fifty in the previous game against Ireland, started well by hitting Shaheen Afridi for a six in the very first over. However, he could not last long and was dismissed by Afridi only in the third over. The India opener departed after scoring 13 runs with the help of a six and four.
