Xtra Time Web Desk: Protest marches are ongoing across the state. Women are taking to the streets regularly at night. Even though a month has passed since the R.G. Kar incident, the intensity hasn't diminished. On the contrary, the scale of the spontaneous public movement is steadily growing. Not only in Bengal, but the entire nation has vocally condemned the incident. Even expatriate Bengalis and Indians across the world have joined the unprecedented movement. The demand for "Justice for R.G. Kar" has resonated deeply with the masses, and celebrities have also lent their voices to the cause. Sourav Ganguly, too, is calling for an unprecedented verdict in the R.G. Kar case. The Supreme Court held its second hearing on Monday, and the highest court is keen to delve into the depth of the incident. The next hearing is scheduled for the coming Tuesday. Before that, Sourav is hoping that the late doctor receives justice.

At an event, the former captain of India said, "I am not yet aware of the Supreme Court's hearing, but I want the apolitical people who have taken to the streets to ensure that the girl receives justice. Such exemplary punishment should be meted out that it sets a precedent. Justice may take time, but the way the common people have come out on the streets is worth witnessing."
