Xtra Time Web Desk: Shashank Singh has words of appreciation for Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Shreyas Iyer considering how he used his key players in the game against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Iyer took a brilliant call by introducing Vyshak into the attack when the Titans needed 75 runs off the last six overs with the dangerous Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford in the middle. Although he couldn’t take a wicket but he kept it tight for Vyshak giving away five runs in his first over, followed by another five-run over.

While speaking in the post-match press conference, he mentioned Iyer as one of the best saying, “Shreyas is someone who works on instincts as a captain, which is why he is one of the best captains in the world right now."
“The way Shreyas brought in Vyshak, I felt it was the right time to bring him in. And the way he bowled—during the bowling meeting, we planned those things, and this was a planned move. The way he executed the plan was commendable because planning is one thing, and execution is another. He bowled during some tough overs, especially with the dew, and I felt that while fielding,” Shashank added.

The Kings will be looking to carry their winning momentum whereas all eyes will be on Iyer how he carries himself as captain.
