With IPL 2025 set to kick off on March 22 and CSK starting their campaign against Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, ticket demand has surged among fans.

Despite no official announcement on ticket sales, several re-selling websites have already listed CSK match tickets at exorbitant rates. On Viagogo.com, a popular re-selling platform, ticket prices for CSK games range from ₹17,804 to ₹1,23,593. The high-voltage CSK vs MI clash on March 23 has seen tickets priced over ₹5.7 lakh. Similarly, the second fixture between CSK and MI, scheduled at Wankhede Stadium on April 20, has tickets listed as high as ₹5.13 lakh.

The rampant black marketing of IPL tickets has once again raised concerns over transparency in ticket sales. Despite frequent complaints from fans, neither the BCCI, IPL governing council, nor franchises have taken concrete measures to curb the issue.
