Xtra Time Web Desk: KKR star all-rounder Andre Russell was seen celebrating his team’s third IPL triumph as he danced to the famous Bollywood song ‘Lutt Putt gaya’ of his team’s owner Shahrukh Khan. Russell was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/19 in 2.3 overs as Kolkata beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 final on Sunday, May 27 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
As a result, KKR added third IPL trophy to their cabinet as the entire team celebrated their title victory. The entire KKR squad savoured their win throughout the night in a special after-match party. A clip from KKR’s after game festivities has been going viral on social media where Russell is seen dancing on ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ with Bollywood actor Ananya Pandey. In the viral video, the KKR all-rounder can be seen in a jolly good mood as he lip-syncs to the Bollywood chartbuster and does its famous ‘hook step’.

Notably, Russell has openly expressed his admiration for the song in the past as well, as he released a video of him singing it while driving. Furthermore, the West Indies cricketer was also seen hilariously forbidding Rinku Singh to sing the song from the Bollywood movie ‘Jawan’ calling it ‘his song’.
Dre Russ had a brilliant in this season with both bat and ball finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker for KKR. The right-arm seamer picked up 19 wickets from 14 innings at an average of 15.52 and an economy of 10.05. With the bat, the 36-year-old scored 222 runs from nine innings at an average of 31.71 and a strike rate of 185 with one half-century.

Hence, the Jamaica-born cricketer played a pivotal role in his team’s third IPL triumph. Notably, Russell was also a part of KKR’s second IPL win in 2014. He will be next seen playing for the West Indies in the T20 World Cup 2024.
