Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India cricketer-turned-commentator Ambati Rayudu has criticized the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) management following the team's exit from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. RCB, led by Faf du Plessis, was eliminated from the tournament after a four-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator. Rayudu expressed sympathy for RCB fans, praising their unwavering support despite the team's consistent underperformance over the years.

Rayudu's criticism focused on the RCB management and leadership, accusing them of prioritizing individual achievements over the team's success. He highlighted RCB's failure to retain talented players and called for the recruitment of individuals who prioritize the team's interests. Rayudu's remarks reflect a broader frustration with the management strategies that have led to RCB's continued struggles in the IPL.

“My heart truly goes out to all the RCB supporters who have passionately supported the team over the years. If only the management and the leaders had the team's interests ahead of individual milestones .. rcb would have won multiple titles. Just remember how many fantastic players have been let go. Force your management to bring players who will put the teams interests first. A great new chapter can start from the mega auction,” wrote Rayudu on his X handle.

Notably, earlier Rayudu was seen distraught in the commentary biox after RCB beat CSK by 27 runs in their last league fixture to qualify for playoffs and knocked the defending champions out of the tournament. The game landed in several controversies as fans slammed Virat Kohli for his aggressive celebration after the win. While analysing the match on Star Sports, Rayudu also made a sarcastic remark on RCB’s celebrations and said that they were celebrating like they had won the IPL.

The comment didn’t go down well with several RCB fans who began trolling the former CSK player all over social media. However, the Bengaluru-based franchise couldn’t do much after their qualification as they were knocked out of the tournament the very next game. Reacting on RCB’s loss, Rayudu further decided to rub salt into their wounds and posted a video of CSK celebrating their fifth IPL title win in 2023. Rayudu shared the video on his Instagram story and wrote, “Sometimes a gentle reminder is required.”
