FC Goa dominated the early stages of the match and took the lead in the 33rd minute, courtesy of a well-taken goal by Armando Sadiku. The home side went into the break with a 1-0 advantage, having controlled much of the first half, but Jamshedpur’s defense held firm under pressure.

The second half saw Jamshedpur come out with renewed energy, and their persistence paid off in the 75th minute when Javier Siverio calmly converted a penalty to level the scores at 1-1. Just minutes later, Jordan Murray completed the turnaround with a stunning finish, putting Jamshedpur ahead 2-1 in the 93rd minute.

Despite FC Goa's late attempts to equalize, Jamshedpur's defense, led by Albino Gomes’ heroics in goal, stood tall to secure all three points. For Jamshedpur, it was a much-needed victory, and Khalid Jamil’s tactical gamble paid off perfectly, leaving FC Goa’s coach Manolo Marquez with plenty to ponder after the missed opportunity on home turf.
