Shami congratulates Kohli after reaching his fifty at Brabourne | IPL 2022

Xtra Time Web Desk: It was a beautiful moment at the Brabourne stadium when Virat Kohli was patted by Gujarat Titans fast bowler Mohammed Shami after he reached his fifty. Shami, despite being on the opposite side, congratulated him tapping on his helmet and hugging him sideways as well. It was perfect picture of friendship and brotherhood between Shami and Virat. We all remember how Kohli came out in public to show his support for Shami when he was brutally targeted in social media during the T20 World Cup held in UAE last year.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli finally managed to score his first fifty in the ongoing IPL 2022 season. While he wasn’t at his fluent best, Kohli looked a lot more positive and played some exquisite cover drives during his 53-ball knock.
Kohli reaching his 43rd half-century was a huge moment even for the fans at the Brabourne Stadium. The crowd lauded the 33-year-old for his knock even as his wife Anushka Sharma stood up in delight clapping and cheering for her husband. As soon as Kohli reached his fifty, he was seen looking at the skies and saying something as he raised the bat.
However, in an attempt to accelerate the scoring, he got out on 58 off 53 balls with six fours and one six to his name. Mohammed Shami was the bowler who dismissed him with a perfect yorker.
