XtraTime Web Desk: The Cricket Association of Bengal had to cancel their grand plan of paratroopers flying on to Eden wicket to deliver the pink ball due to security reasons for the upcoming D/N Test from Friday.

According to sources at CAB, the security clearance did not come as they had to cancel the elaborate arrangements where Army paratroopers were to fly on to the wicket to hand over a pink ball each to the two captains just before the toss.

Also Union Home Minister Amit Shah won't be in attendance as per the final event flow sent by the CAB as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate India's first-ever D/N Test ringing the customary Eden Bell just before the start of play at 1 pm.

As India's first-ever D/N Test is happening in winter, there is also a change to the conventional pink ball Test where tea break followed by the lengthy supper break of 40 minutes.

So the Eden Test will have the usual lunch break after the first session at 3pm while the last break would be for tea spanning 20 minutes. As per the ICC norm, playing conditions can be altered by mutual consent of both the countries.

In the lunch break there will be a chat show of the Fab Five: Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, VVS Laxman and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly the architect of the D/N Test.

The other former cricketers who have confirmed include: Sadagopan Ramesh, Saba Karim, Sunil Joshi, Ajit Agarkar, Venkatesh Prasad, Kapil Dev, Dilip Vengsarkar, Mohammed Azharuddin, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Farook Engineer and Chandu Borde,

The players from other sports fraternity will include Abhinav Bindra, P Gopichand, PV Sindhu, Sania Mirza
and Mary Kom.

Naimur Rahman, Mohammed Mahmudul Hasan, Maharab Hossain, Mohammed Hasibul Hussain, Shahriar Hossain Biddut, Kazi Habibul Bashar and Mohammed Akram Khan are the Bangladesh former cricketers who have confirmed.

The tea break will feature instrumental by Sorendu and group while the former captains will be given a Lap of honour.

The grand felicitation will happen postmatch with performance by Runa Laila with Hasina and Mamata in attendance while a cultural programme by Jeet Ganguly will conclude day one.
