Xtra Time Web Desk: India star pacer Jasprit Bumrah may miss the first two weeks of Indian Premier league 2025 due to injury and join Mumbai Indians camp in April.

Bumrah suffered a injury back in fifth and final test match against Australia following that he missed the ongoing Champions Trophy and currently is undergoing rehabilitation at BCCI's CoE in Bengaluru under the guidance of medical team.

"Bumrah's medical reports are okay. He has resumed bowling at the CoE. However it is unlikely he'll be able to bowl at the start of the IPL in another fortnight. As per current status, the first week looks a more realistic date for him to get back to high-intensity cricket ", the source said.

In that scenario, Bumrah is likely to miss the first three or four matches for MI. Bumrah, it is learnt still hasn't started bowling full tilt. "It's standard operating procedure. The medical team will gradually build up his workload and intensity. Unless he is able to bowl full fit without any discomfort for some days, the medical team is unlikely to clear him. ", the source concluded.

As five matches test series are knocking against England, the main aim will be to have Bumrah fit considering Rohit Sharma's low chances to continue as the test captain. Fans will love to get Bumrah back in IPL whereas management would want to have Bumrah fit for long run.
